Safeguarding

We are committed to making Christ Church Epsom Common a friendly, welcoming and safe place, especially for those who are young or vulnerable in any way. All those working or volunteering with children or vulnerable adults undergo regular safeguarding training and have a current DBS check.

As part of the Church of England, we adopt their latest guidance and policies.

We recognise that safeguarding is the concern of everybody at Christ Church. All are welcome to complete the Church of England’s Basic Awareness training, an online course that takes about 30-40 minutes to complete. If you would like to participate, speak to one of the safeguarding officers, who will provide you with access to the training portal.

Our safeguarding team

If you have any concerns, it is important to speak to someone. We promise to listen to you, and respond to your concerns. You can talk to us about anyone at all, whoever they are, including church leaders and volunteers in positions of responsibility. Please be assured that your concerns will be treated seriously and confidentially.
