Christ Church will celebrate it’s 150th anniversary on 18th October 2026. In the run up, we have a whole year of events for fun and fundraising, as well as special celebration services.

Alpha Course

Ever felt curious? Come along and ask us anything. No judgement. No pressure. But plenty of biscuits.

CC150 Art Project
Monday 16th-Friday 20th February
10.30am-12.30pm
Community art project – and you don’t have to be an artist to take part!
Paint, draw, sculpt… sew or knit… write a poem or piece of prose… create a collage… take a photograph… express yourself.
Be inspired. Be intriguing. Be yourself. And have fun!
Works will be displayed in Christ Church 16th-20th February 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Bring your creation along with a short description, with title, your name and what the work means to you. You can drop items off at the 10am service on Sundays 1st or 8th February, or at Wednesday morning Holy Communion service, or bring them to the parish office Tuesdays-Thursdays – but if coming to the office do please get in touch first on 01372 743133 or via the office contact form.
CC150 Quiz Night
Saturday 28th February
7pm
The ever-popular quiz night returns! £15 per person, including supper of chilli and jacket potato. Bring your own drinks and glasses. Teams of up to 6. If you don’t have a team, we can put you in touch with other quizzers to form one.

Saturday 25th April 12.30pm-4pm
CC150 Fundraising Plant Sale
Saturday 16th May 12.30pm-4pm
Better value than the garden centre – come and stock up on outdoor and indoor plants. Tea, coffee, cakes and scones too.
Tea Club
Meets four times a year
Relaxed and social afternoon tea, usually with a speaker. Lifts to and from the event can be provided if needed.
