Christ Church will celebrate it’s 150th anniversary on 18th October 2026. In the run up, we have a whole year of events for fun and fundraising, as well as special celebration services.

A Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for the Ministry of Revd Esther Holley Hunt
Sunday 4th January 10am
We come together to say farewell to our curate Esther and to celebrate all she and her family have been – and are – to us. Followed by a bring and share lunch. This is an All Age Communion service and Esther will be preaching.
Macrame Workshop
Saturday 17th January 1.30pm-4.30pm
Take a slower page and enjoy some me-time after the Christmas rush at this relaxed crafting afternoon with an experienced tutor. Beginners are welcome, no experience needed, and you will create a charming charming wall hanging to take home with you
CC150 Jazz Night
Saturday 24th January
Wonderful evening of jazz, ranging from standards by Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck and more, to music by Etta James and Stevie Wonder.
CC150 Art Festival
Saturday 14th-Friday 20th February
Contemporary local art displayed in the beauty of our historic building. Details to follow.
CC150 Quiz Night
Saturday 28th February
Ever-popular quiz. With jacket potato and chilli. Bring your own choice of drinks.

Better value than the garden centre – come and stock up on outdoor and indoor plants. Tea, coffee, cakes and scones too.
Tea Club
Meets four times a year
Relaxed and social afternoon tea, usually with a speaker. Lifts to and from the event can be provided if needed.
