Bells
The joyful sound of Christ Church’s bells has echoed across our community for 150 years. Today, the tradition is alive and thriving thanks to the enthusiastic Epsom Common Bellringers.
Our bells, a set of eight, were renewed in 1992 and are beautifully housed in the original oak frame. Easy to ring, they are full of character. They mark life’s important moments: weddings, funerals, festivals, and local celebrations. But behind each toll and chime is a community of people who enjoy what they do.

The Epsom Common Bellringers is a very welcoming group, ranging in age from 17 to 92. Some have been ringing for decades, others are brand new – but they are united by a shared love for this unique and rewarding activity. As long as you can climb the 39 narrow, winding steps to the ringing room, you’re welcome to join the band.
