PCC and Electoral Roll

Our PCC, or Parochial Church Council, acts as a board of trustees for the church, helping to make decisions, guide the direction and vision of the church, look after finances and help make the church a safe and accessible place of worship and community.

Membership of the Electoral Roll is a sign of belonging to the church and allows you to vote, nominate or stand for election to the church council.

The New Church Electoral Roll

The Church Electoral Roll is now closed for new applications and will remain closed until after the church Annual General Meeting on 11th May 2025.

Annual Church Meeting – Sunday 11 May

Our 2025 Vestry and Annual Church Meeting will be held in the Church on Sunday 11 May, integrated with the 10am Parish Communion. Coffee and cake will be served after the service.

The Annual Report will soon be available on the website and through the weekly emailed Parish Newsletter. If you would like a paper copy, please request this via the office. The Income and Expenditure Analysis for 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024 and proposed budget have not been included in the annual report. A printout or email copy of this report is available on request from PCC secretary Jane Williams.

Please take time to read the Annual report as much of this extensive – and important – written material will be taken as read and thus introduced only briefly during the meeting. Thank you to all who have contributed. If there are any questions you want to raise at the Meeting, please put these in the box at the back of the Church over the preceding Sundays. Questions can also be emailed to Jane Williams.

To allow sufficient time to prepare responses to questions, a closing date of Sunday May 4 is respectfully requested. As usual, part of the Meeting’s purpose is the election of:

  • Two Churchwardens to serve for 2025-26. Andy will be standing down after 6 years of service. Fay is willing to be re-elected for her fourth year of service.
  • We have four lay representatives on the Epsom Deanery Synod: Leslie King, Gill Glasspool, Shirleyann Dartnell and Sofia Welsby who was elected in August 2024. Thus no DS lay vacancies.
  • There are vacancies for lay PCC representatives.

Nomination forms for Church Warden and PCC representatives are available to download below and also at the back of the Church. Information on the role of PCC members is also available at the back of the Church. Please ask Rosemary, the Church Wardens or any PCC representatives if you would like to know more about serving in this valuable role.

The Annual Meeting is a time for reflection and moving forward in serving our Church and the wider community. I can thoroughly recommend serving on the PCC as an opportunity to learn more about the running of the Parish and for deepening fellowship and personal growth as we discern together God’s purpose for us.

Jane Williams, PCC Secretary
